Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] MPC Indigo Catalog

Can I suggest sending comments directly to Nathan. We don't need more traffic on this list.

Cool. I gave it a try, so ...

... mh, when I click that icon I get a selection of 10 features.
Where's the rest?

 The list concludes with:
"10 matches. Browse for more solutios"

When I click this link the browser will show lot's of

%description [0.3.0.201105251614,0.3.0.201105251614]
Linux Tools
...
%feature.label 3.2.0.v201105172306

Obviously, all the broken entries range at the top of the list.

Next: clicking on an item brings a regular MP page, but if the project
already had a page this is actually redundant and normally with less
information than the existing page.

----

Back to the MPC: only when selecting "Indigo" in the drop down at the top
I get s.t. in the order I'd expected.

Now I wonder, what's the order those features are presented in?
I find it difficult to find anything in this list.
Maybe those are already too many features to browse in a sequential
list without further structuring?

Given we can already browse all these features in a categorized view
using "Install new software..." what's the aim in presenting the same
set of features in the MPC?

---

So, after an initial "wow that's cool" I'm not quite convinced this
catalog is worth the effort. But it could well be that I just didn't
understand the use case for this.

best,
Stephan
