There actually lies a showstopper for many projects currently:
How many projects have CVS map files? How many projects use other
source code repositories than CVS? Still support for this feature
seems to exist for CVS only (please correct me). And this affects both
the build and the runtime parts.

I've tried to connect the PDE folks and the subversive folks so they would
implement this for SVN - but nothing has come of that initiative within
one year's time frame.

I'm currently considering a move to git, so if the git folks tell me that
they have support for Eclipse-SourceReferences that would be one
more reason for the move. Do you?

best,
Stephan
