I've canceled the shutdown... Perhaps Matt can let us know why it was in 
that state.  Perhaps it was related to the two slaves that needed to be 
kicked for the usual SSH bug earlier today.   (I had kicked the slaves 
at that time -- Matt is usually a bit more ... graceful than I).

Let me know if everything looks OK.
