Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] participating projects offsets

I've started such a page at

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Indigo/Participating_Projects

It is mostly just a copy of what we had last year, so I'm sure there are many changes that need to be made ... but, it should give a starting point and rough idea.

Remember also, this table is a good way to get an overall idea of who is doing what when, but anyone that has a tight coupling with another project, needs to be sure to communicate directly with that other project, and let them know what you need and what you are doing. At a minimum, for example, it is a good idea to subscribe to others dev mailing lists and normally, as fellow committers, its appropriate to ask questions there, such as "where's your latest build towards M3?" ... to mention a recent real life example  :)
And, as usual, projects that are making large changes that might effect others are free to communicate that on their own dev lists, and if large enough, even here on cross-project list.

I hope we can get this kind of offset-category data into the Portal's tracking system ... but doubt that'll happen soon enough to avoid the need for this wiki page for Indigo. I've opened bug 329970 with that enhancement request.

So, in the meantime, project leads should feel free to update that offset table on the wiki to make it more accurate.

Hi,

For Helios, this page was documenting which projects were participating in the simultaneous release, and each project gave its offset (0, +1, +2, +3).
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Helios/Participating_Projects

I can't find a similar page for Indigo. How can I know the offset of each participating project?
