[cross-project-issues-dev] Helios SR1 Final Daze ... nearing Friday 9 AM

We are almost there.  

While there is no specific "final
daze" document for service releases, the ideas are the same as for
the release. Release engineers may want to re-read the document to see
if there's anything you've forgotten. See

In particular, 

still important to clean up "old"
releases if possible to free up space ... especially space on mirrors.


important to get final names and "promote"
final zips and repositories today and tomorrow, to allow time to mirror
before Friday morning, 
BUT NOT to make those repositories or
download zips "visible" (to either p2 or general web pages),
until the official release time on Friday morning. 

The official release, I assume, is planed
for 9 AM Friday (Eastern time).  

Unless others want it differently, I
think we've done this enough we can just assume all is ok and you can "go
public" anytime after 9 on Friday ... unless there is a "wait"
message sent to cross-project list ... so, be sure to check your mail first!
:) 

Don't forget, Indigo M2 is next week,
so be sure to update your Indigo contribution files in a timely manner
and keep that build clean.

P.S.  There is no truth to the
rumored conspiracy theory that the build machine failure was perfectly
timed to allow Helios SR1 to complete, but not interfere with Indigo M2
... pure coincidence  :)
