I've installed SVN and Git from the SLES 11 SDK. As expected, the
versions are much older than the ones we have compiled on
dev.eclipse.org/git.eclipse.org (SVN == 1.5.2 and Git == 1.6.0) but
they should allow you to work while we get the newer packages
compiled.
Matt: libapr is on the SDK, which is what I've used to compile SVN
on the new dev. That should allow us to compile the Subversion from
the spec file we have on build. All the ISO images (for SLES and
the SDK) are in /opt/public/common.

That would be worth looking at. On SLES 10 the SVN package in the
SDK
was antique so we ended up compiling.
I'll have a look and keep you posted.

Hi Denis,
Subversion should be in SLES SDK, and probably git too.

Folks,
Yesterday I upgraded the build server to SLES 11 SP1 (from
SLES10 SP2).
It all went surprisingly well, but there are some issues
:
- subversion: because SVN is not packaged with our
entreprise OS, it
has to be compiled. The upgrade process removed the
compiled package
we had, and now we must hunt down the dependencies and
troubleshoot the
compilation issues.
- git: same as above
- NNTP and forums: a major upgrade occurred to the NNTP
daemon, and now
it refuses to start. We need to troubleshoot this.
- build2: since it relies on build to be always there, it
is currently
spaced out and in need of a cold restart.
There will be other issues that will crop up, but for now
this is what
is on our radar. If you see other issues, please open a
bug against
community/servers.
Thanks for your understanding,
Denis
