[cross-project-issues-dev] Download statistics for p2-enabled repos

A long, long time ago I had the ability to provide you with accurate 
download statistics.  While this remains true for website downloads, 
such as ZIPs and All-In-Ones, gathering download activity for p2-enabled 
repositories was not possible.

For Helios, there will be a way to simulate the "Single File Hack" [1] 
that many of you were using with Update Manager.  Please see 
http://bugs.eclipse.org/302160 for more details.

It would be good to test this functionality soon, since I presume many 
projects will want this enabled on the Helios central repo.

[1] One core JAR in the site.xml was being downloaded from Eclipse.org, 
thus equating "one user download".
