RE: [cross-project-issues-dev] Subversive has no statusin Participating Projects

Hello David,

Thanks for setting status. As for the problem with installing Subversive, I also observe it and created a corresponding defect for Equinox, here are its details (for more info you can refer to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=298566); (I posted here details of my problem, because it could be related more to M4 than to Equinox and other projects may experience this problem too)

1. I downloaded Eclipse Helios M4(eclipse-SDK-3.6M4-win32.zip) and tried to install Subversive from Helios update site (http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios).
2. I found it in Collaboration category and selected, as a result of installation I got error
3. From short inspection I found out that I'm proposed to install not correct version of Subversive: 0.7.8.I20090904-1300 instead of 0.7.8.I20091023-1300.
I verified Subversive build file in Helios (subversive.build) and it contains correct version (0.7.8.I20091023-1300).
The error which I got during installation talked about not correct version and it's ok because Subversive with such a version doesn't exist.
4. Then I tried to disable 'Group items by category' option and Subversive features are shown with correct version now (0.7.8.I20091023-1300) and also I managed to install Subversive.
Probably it cached somewhere content, but I tried with new Eclipse distribution and with new workspace.

I think it was just a "typo" of some sort. In general, feel free to update the table ... just leave good notes in the "comment" when you save. And not to worry, I "watch" the page, so will ask if I see something mysterious. But I have updated this case, since I was looking at it anyway.

I will say, though, I did try to install the 'Subversive' feature several days ago and could not. I got at error message about "invalid zip format". It could have been something temporary (maybe I got a network error?) and I did not re-try. I just mention here in case you are interested .... that's not the reason the table there was "blank".

Thanks for proof reading.

Hello David,

Subversive project is listed in Participating Projects (http://wiki.eclipse.org/Helios/Participating_Projects), but it has no mark/status in last column, i.e. Y or N. I verified and Subversive is present in Helios update site(http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios). Should I modify Subversive status to Y by myself or you can do it, or probably there are some problems because of which Subversive has no status?_______________________________________________
