Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] What's Galileo M6 "mass build" status?

Title: Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] What's Galileo M6 "mass build" status?
I reran the build and got past WST, but failed on JST with a strange error.  Another build is running now.  If I see more of the mirror problems, I’ll apply the fix you mention, thanks!

As far as I can see this is a 'file-not-found'/404 on an external server...

Testing the very same file on the main eclipse.org <http://eclipse.org>  download server it is available here:
http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/milestones/features/org.eclipse.wst.common.fproj_3.1.0.v200901260254-377-8s733L394A3AAH.jar

I ran into this problem (from the p2 perspective it is a feature) many times with the EPP package build and found one parameter that has the potential to solve it:

  -vmargs -Declipse.p2.mirrors=false

Usually it helps disabling the download-from-a-mirror feature if you are building on the local build.eclipse.org <http://build.eclipse.org>  server.

Ah, and here the EPP update: I know that the 'Galileo-EPP' day is tomorrow, but EPP depends on the Galileo staging repository. Old results based on the content of the current Galileo staging repo are here: http://www.eclipse.org/epp/download.php

How about a written update? ;)

How ironic... you didn’t receive a failure email notice that WST has broken Galileo?   https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/job/galileo.build/ws/galileo.build.log.txt

I’ll update the signoff for GMF so that the Federation (er, Foundation) doesn’t come after me for violating the Prime Directive. ;)

Thanks,

First, thanks Joel for the sign-off page, http://wiki.eclipse.org/Galileo/Signoffs, that makes it clearer what our status is. And, while still half a day left, looking at that page makes it seem that several projects are not meeting the target? Or, not paying attention and updating the page? [And, remember, paying attention and communicating well with cross-projects is the Simultaneous Release Prime Directive! :) ]

Second, can someone, (Richard? Markus?) give us a verbal update on the Galileo builds status? Looks like we haven't had a good build for 8 days, which doesn't bode well, and by looking at the Hudson build pages, I can't "see" exactly what the problem is. If its there somewhere, I'd appreciate some pointers on which logs to look at.

We haven't had even one "milestone build" of Galileo yet, and believe we were trying to get one before EclipseCon. Any chance?

Thanks,
