Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] EPP / Ganymede SR1 RC1

The bundle on Orbit itself seems ok ... so, all who pick up the Orbit version and re-package, please check yours (as I will). The jar should be taken "as is" from Orbit but suspect someone mistakenly repacks it or something?

I've opened this bug to track resolution:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=246890

Thanks

Subject: [cross-project-issues-dev] EPP / Ganymede SR1 RC1

Hi *,

nearly nobody complained so far that there are no packages available for the
RC1 towards Ganymede SR1, but I still have some issues to solve and maybe you
can help me with that.

One of the problems may be related to this jar file from Orbit, at least I am
not able to unpack it manually and maybe it is the root cause for the
breaking package build. It's neither possible to access its content with 'jar
tvf' nor with 'unzip -t -v':

[plugins/org.apache.axis_1.4.0.v200807230600.jar]
End-of-central-directory signature not found.  Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive.

In Orbit there is a .zip file that seems to be fine, but somehow the
transformation from .zip to .jar doesn't work (or someone's PDE build doesn't
behave as expected, or the jar signing destroyed the file structure, or...)

I don't want to say that this is the only problem at the moment, but maybe all
other problems in the package build disappear when this .jar is fixed. Until
then I am not able to build any packages.

Thanks and regards,
Markus
