Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] About file update information

Spoke with Sharon Corbett, and she says that for questions re: About Files or other IP issues that can't be resolved by your PMCs, please use this alias:

emo-ip-team@xxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:emo-ip-team@xxxxxxxxxxx>

As we have seen over the past few days there are a number of changes needed to the About files for bundles that are consumed via Orbit. There are more to come. Due to the volume of changes and where we are in the game, the IP team is not going to be able to individually review and approve the changes that are being made. Instead, having highlighted the issues we are going to have to rely on the PMC’s of the main consumers to approve/validate the changes to the About files for the bundles that they consume. For most bundles it will be clear which PMC is most relevant (e.g., the PMC for the committer responsible for the bundle). If there are questions or uncertainty, please raise the topic on the Orbit mailing list.

p.s., in a previous mail I suggested that people send mail to legal@xxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:legal@xxxxxxxxxxx> if they have questions regarding the approach to addressing About file issues. It turns out I got some wrong information and in fact that address does NOT work. For now I suggest that for most issues it will be relatively easy to figure out. For things that are harder we will have to talk directly to the people at the Foundation.
