Hi,

when I got Rich's answer right, he was saying that it has
been addressed in GMF M5 already. 

But the gmf.sc file has not yet been updated for M5 -- last
change was for M4 on 7-Jan. Though their contributing update
site's site.xml includes this:
     <category name="S-2.1M5-200802151500" />

Did they just forget contributing to the .sc file? It looks
like their M5 bits have actually been released properly but
not added to the sc file so the "modeling package" will 
still include the M4 version of GMF.
