Re: [eclipse.org-planning-council] Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Europa impressions

You are aware, right? That we have a "cross-project" component, for "Europa Bugs".

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&classification=Eclipse+Foundation&product=Community&component=Cross-Project&long_desc_type=allwordssubstr&long_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&status_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr&status_whiteboard=&keywords_type=allwords&keywords=&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&emailtype1=substring&email1=&emailtype2=substring&email2=&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&cmdtype=doit&order=Reuse+same+sort+as+last+time&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=

Typically if something "appears" to be cross-project related, the bug can be open there, and as it's investigated if it turns out to be merely project specific, the bug is moved.
If it really is cross-project, then ideally project specific bugs can be open as "depends on" bugs for each of the things specific projects have to do.

Does this satisfy the request? Or, was the keyword for something else?

Thanks

Bjorn,

an "europa" bug is a bug I encountered using my "europa" config :-)

I agree with you, this is not  easy to track down:

1 - one may have the bug with Eclipse + one (europa) project / feature / plugin

2 - one may have the same issue using a "full europa" config

For case #1, an europa flag may not be needed, but I thing it might be good thing for case #2.

I'm just trying to find a way to catch-up any europa bug using bugzilla.

Any idea welcome.

Eric.

Eric,
There are no "Europa" bugs - there are only bugs in each of the component projects. Some of those bugs, admittedly, are bugs that only appear when multiple projects are loaded. Thus I didn't create a europa bugs tag (yet). I flip the question back to you: what would you define as a "europa" bug?

Also,

we may want to be able to track all europa bugs in Bugzilla.

Did not find corresponding keyword:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/describekeywords.cgi

Regarding the bugs I opens, I currently "tag" the bug summary with [europa].

Unless we have a common way of tagging europa bugs, it may become difficult to track down all europa bugs.

Bjorn?
