Since today's Europa call is canceled, I wanted to make
everybody
aware once again of the "UM cannot install signed,
packed bundles"
bug.
I tested today and verified that it is still an issue
with I20070320-0010.
I'm pretty sure that the problem is with the
client (update manager)
and not the way how the bundle is signed and packed;
since a manual
unpack / jarsigner -verify step verifies the bundle
OK.
I'm promoting this to Severity BLOCKER since it keeps
all Europa
project from using signed bundles, but it's important
that Europa
can start signing.
I firmly believe this should be addressed for Platform
M6, but I'm
lost debugging UM so I hope there's more knowledgeable
persons
than myself who can attach this.
