Re: Fw: [cross-project-issues-dev] Eclipse feature icons updated in 3.2

Comparing the icon files in

org.eclipse.sdk_3.2.0.v20060214

and

org.eclipse.sdk_3.2.0.v20060509

diff -s -q icons_org.eclipse.sdk_3.2.0.v20060509/

Files icons_org.eclipse.sdk_3.2.0.v20060509/eclipse32.gif and

Did you by any chance mean eclipse.png and eclipse48.png, not
eclipse32.png? (Or did someone forget to update that file too?)

Nick

Any of the entries in you first list are going to be the right ones. They
are all the same image. You will know if you got it right by self hosting
and opening the About dialog - your features will show up in the same
entry as the Eclipse features.

If your feature does not reference them I would remove them but you will
need it in the feature if it is referenced by it.

Dave:

Maybe it's the Friday before a long weekend, but I've diff'd the "new"

Tod:

Can you point me to a specific copy of the new eclipse32.png so I can copy
it over? I need to close out this bug:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=142589

Or would it be better to just remove them, since they're redundant to what
ships w/ Eclipse?

Thanks,

Hi Nick,

Did you see this? I believe you took care of this last time. Can you do
it again?

Cheers,
Dave

During RC3 we updated the following features to use an updated .png
version of the Eclipse feature icon.

org.eclipse.jdt
org.eclipse.jdt.source
org.eclipse.platform
org.eclipse.platform.source
org.eclipse.pde.source
org.eclipse.sdk
org.eclipse.rcp
org.eclipse.rcp.source

If your feature has been copying over the Eclipse feature icon in previous
releases you should update with the eclipse32.png from any of these
features.

Note that if you use a different icon than these features do it will show
up as a different entry in the about dialog. If you use the same icon it
will show up in the same entry.
