[cdt-dev] CPP EPP RC2 not working for me

I am trying to run the CPP EPP RC2 x86_64 for 2018-12 and am getting major errors. For example, I cannot close the Welcome screen. The Welcome screen doesn't appear until I start it again.

I am running with Java 8 on Linux. Is anybody else running into this? I have a new workspace.

I'll try rebooting, but wanted to check with others.
