The current UMLX status is very preliminary.

The meta-model editor is functional, but has experienced minimal serious usage. The graphical (Gcore) meta-model has not been frozen, so diagram files may fail to load in a future release. The underlying Ecore meta-model is of course frozen. Bugs and enhancement requests are welcome.

The transformation editor is incomplete; the available functionality is mainly to demonstrate the extensibility of the underlying framework to model patterns.

There is no ability to transform the graphical transformations into a form that is executable.

Installation of binaries

Installation notes

Install Java 5 and Eclipse 3.1.

Install EMF 2.1.0 from its Update Site or Download Page.

Install GEF 3.1 from its Download Site.

Install UMLX from its Update Site.

You may now use UMLX by creating a new multi-sheet diagram file or by copying an example using the File->New->Example... then UMLX Examples wizard.
