3.3 M4 Test Plan
Goal
The goal of this test pass is to achieve full coverage of the SDK to get a
good overall picture on the state of the build. A full day of testing is scheduled
for Tuesday, December 12, 2006.
Checklist
- Trim. Test the new trim support especially if you are not on Windows
- Saving Settings Test that saving working sets and layout between
workspace switching works
- JFace Snippets Run all of the JFace Snippets, especially on the
Mac
- Error Handing Generate as many errors as you can and see that the
response is what you would expect
- Open Resource Dialog Test Camel Case and general concurrency issues
- Themes Use non standard colours and fonts and test
- Progress Viewer check that it updates when you scroll
- Decorators Make sure that the Package Explorer and Resource Navigator
decorate as expected
- Quick Access Check issues with the Ctrl E support
- Filtered List Check the filtered list in the preferences dialog
- Verify. Verify bugs assigned to you that have been fixed
during 3.3 M4.
- Watch your log. Make sure nothing is getting into the .log that
indicated a real issue.
- Component Testing. Test every component area assigned to you on
the component area test plan.
