3.3 M4 Test Plan

Goal

The goal of this test pass is to achieve full coverage of the SDK to get a good overall picture on the state of the build. A full day of testing is scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, 2006.

Checklist

• Trim. Test the new trim support especially if you are not on Windows
• Saving Settings Test that saving working sets and layout between workspace switching works
• JFace Snippets Run all of the JFace Snippets, especially on the Mac
• Error Handing Generate as many errors as you can and see that the response is what you would expect
• Open Resource Dialog Test Camel Case and general concurrency issues
• Themes Use non standard colours and fonts and test
• Progress Viewer check that it updates when you scroll
• Decorators Make sure that the Package Explorer and Resource Navigator decorate as expected
• Quick Access Check issues with the Ctrl E support
• Filtered List Check the filtered list in the preferences dialog
• Verify. Verify bugs assigned to you that have been fixed during 3.3 M4.
• Watch your log. Make sure nothing is getting into the .log that indicated a real issue.
• Component Testing. Test every component area assigned to you on the component area test plan.
