[news.eclipse.webtools] Re: eclipse support for struts2 and hibernate

Nagrik,

You may want to start with JBoss Tools (http://jboss.org/tools; it is an open source product) or JBoss Developer Studio (http://www.jboss.com/products/devstudio, it is a commercial product based on Eclipse, Webtools, JBoss Tools).
You can install JBoss Tools using Eclipse update manager:
Stable Updates: http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable
Development Updates: http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/development.

JBoss Tools includes Hibernate Tools.

Hello Raster,

I downloaded
org.hibernate.eclipse.feature_3.2.1.GA.jar (What does GA at the end mean?)

from hibernate site. However, the site does not have a tutorial to explain the following.

1. Where to put this .jar file.
2. How to plug hibernate into eclipse.
3. How to make use of this .jar file to develop your first application.

Can you or anyone who worked with eclipse and hibernate together tell me please.

Thanks.
