[news.eclipse.webtools] BPEL4WS contribution

Way back when IBM described their initial contribution, there was no mention
of a BPEL editor. Since that time, IBM has created a BPEL editor based on
the BPMN 1.0 specification, and rumor is that it has been released in the
latest version of WebSphere Studio.

Does anyone know if the IBM contribution will be revised to include the
BPEL4WS Importer/Exporter?

I personally think this will eventually become a critical piece of the WTP.
If IBM is not planning on offering this, I have my own framework for a BPEL
editor that I would like to contribute. It's not as complete as the IBM
editor (just a framework, the tool is not complete).

I don't really want to introduce a competing editor that will bifurcate the
development environment, but I'm prepared to do this if IBM's editor is not
included in their already generous initial offering. Of course, I'd also
rather not contribute my code only to get eclipsed by IBM. ;-)
