[news.eclipse.tools] [Problem][Eclipse 2.1.1][Linux] Splash Screen Has Wrong Colors

Hi, we've been trying to figure out how to get the proper colors for both
our own splash screen and the eclipse splash screen on Linux. On HP-UX the
colors are as expected, but on Linux the splash screen comes up with all
green tones, as if the blue and red components have been filtered out. This
looks really gruesome with the Eclipse splash screen and even worse with our
own. :(

I've tried checking my eXceed settings to see if maybe I had a low res/color
visual, and I made sure I'm using the Motif library that ships with Eclipse
2.1.1 (via LD_LIBRARY_PATH). I also tried mucking with my xrdb and
.Xdefaults settings, but all to no avail.

Has anyone else seen this sort of problem? Are there some known work
arounds? Am I asking in the right group?

I would greatly appreciate any tips on debugging/fixing this.

TIA

(^_^)/
mike.
