[news.eclipse.tools] problem getting team cvs ext to work

Hi,

I've been struggling to import a project from a CVS repository for a few
days now. The data is located on a remote server which only allows SSH2
connection. I'm able to connect to the server with putty. For eclipse I use
plink as ext connection method.

When I try to open a new repository location in Eclipse I receive an "Unable
to Validate" error:
Error validating location:"Unknown response received from cvs server: Last
login: Mon Jul 28 13:00:50 2003 from 10.94.1.22

I've been through the newsgroup and searched the internet but it seems I'm
stuck. Plink seems to work ok since it can establish a connection to the
server. The response seems to confuse Eclipse. Could it be the new line?
I've tried to start eclipse with the follwing
parameters -vmargs -Dline.seperator=\n but to na avail.

Any help or leads are more than appriciated.
