Two thoughts:
1) If you're interested in engaging the Eclipse community, this is the
wrong newsgroup as it is deprecated and meant to be read-only, try
eclipse.platform.
2) The Eclipse team is planning on having native scripting support in the
next release. http://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=37680
