[news.eclipse.tools] Getting rid of taskview etc

I have installed ver2.1 and I am used to use 2.0. In 2.1 the task view keeps
popping up in the javaperspective, when I change some code which changes the
tasks. Closing the window doesnt help, it just opens again. I cant figure
out how to get rid of this behaivour. I could probably change the task
filter, to exclude everything, but that doesnt seem like an optimal
approach.

I also like to get rid of the popup being displayed when I run a program and
theres an error in it.

I am also wondering why the - compare with - eachother - action under either
navigator view or package view is allways faded out. I need to compare some
files for changes but cant find a way to do it in eclipse.
