[news.eclipse.tools] Disabling the Save option in compare editor

Hi,
When I compare two files using the compare editor, I get a "Save" option in
the context menu of the panel displaying the editable file. Is there any way
of disabling this option ? Also, what is the purpose of this option ? It
doesn't seem to save the changes to underlying file.
