[news.eclipse.tools] "Auto Rebuild" Facility Lost

One of the great things about Eclipse is that whenever I made a change, and
saved a Java file.  Eclipse would rebuild and update any compile errors etc.
The Task list would also change

For some reason this seems to have stopped happening.  I have to rebuild the
project to get the compile errors updated.
I've checked the filters on the task list, and they are ok.

Thisis GA2.1 Eclipse.

Any thoughts?
