[news.eclipse.tools] Problem with TableColumn.setWidth

On doing TableColumn.setWidth for a column, the size actually in display is
around 7 more than the width assigned.
I think it is because of the separators and some trim.
How do I find the trimming needed for separators and how to set it ?
