[news.eclipse.tools] Installation problem: Eclipse 2.1, RH8.0

Apologies if this is the wromng place to ask this, but I cannot find 
another.

I am getting a problem starting up Eclipse on my Linux system. I previously 
ran 2.0.2, but did a re-install, and moved to 2.1. Now Eclipse won't start 
up.

OS: Red Hat 8.0 on i86

Eclipse: eclipse-SDK-2.1-linux-motif.zip unzipped into my home directory

Command: eclipse/eclipse -data workspace -vm 
               /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.0/jre/bin/java
