Hi,
I've been using Eclipse explicitly on Windows, and now I would like to
try it on Linux (I'm a Linux newbie, however).
I installed RedHat 8.0 distribution.
I got confused when I saw two Linux distributions of Eclipse (for Motif
and GTK). I read, that GTK is generally the UI of the Gnome desktop, but
I didn't quite get what exactly is Motif (obviously a UI library, but
should it be installed separately?).
I'd like to ask the Linux veterans which UI is better - Motif or GTK?
Does KDE support either Motif or GTK?
If I decide to use Motif, should I download it and install it, or is it
included in RH 8 distribution?
TIA.
