I'm not a motif configuration expert, but I have the black on dark gray
colors Motif on most installations has. How did you get those colors?
When I was speaking of dead ugly I was meaning the black on dark gray
I have. (Running on OpenMotif here)

Yupp I agree. I'm currently switching back to Motif, because the current M5
GTK build gave me too much troubles.
