[news.eclipse.tools] Multiple instances of the same view?

Is it possible to have multiple instances of the same view within one workbench window? The reason I ask is I'm writing an 
'explorer like' view for my project and I want to have the ability to have two or more of these views side by side so the user can 
drag and drop between them. I know I can turn it into an editor and have multiple versions of it that way, but the functionality 
lends itself to being more a view than an editor.
