I can't find my .class files anywhere on my hard drive.

Yes, I set this. I changed it to another directory. I reset it back.
Since my XML files are copied to the classes directory I know this part is
set up correctly.

Yep.
I just reinstalled Eclipse, same problem. now I"m going to recreate my
project and try that.
I didn't have this problem with Win 2000, only after upgrading to XP. I
have no idea if it's a coincidence, but with several Windows 2000 computers
I was able to just copy the directories and everything worked fine.
