Hey All,
I hope there are people who feel the same way as I do. I feel the inherent
need to see some better documentation for the eclipse environment. I think
the IDE has to follow some windows convention of providing context
sensitive help for newer people.
I have seen article which said that is almost the best open source kick
ass project and is threatening .NET and I am really impressed with it.
But, there seems to be no help whatsover for people who want to dig deep
into the ID. It might be possible if a newbie could get started first.
For e.g, I have tried compiling a simple program in the Ecplise IDE and it
compiled successfully. I have tried to run it and it fails with "Error
occured due to initialization of VM, No java/lang/Object found". I have
tried in a couple of places after fresh installs but the problem did not
resolve.
I exported a bunch of jar files(SWT, Draw2D) into an independent IDE and
started working to get my work done and it worked smooth. Although there
are some real cool thingies with Eclipse, the help should be something
that has to be incorporated in a much more organized fashion.
I intend u guys to live long....please work on this!!!!!
Peace
Ren
