Allen - Agreed on the general observation about narrow designs.  I'm not
sure that providing the capability to close projects (primarily for the
purpose of removing clutter) is incompatible with a work style of leaving
everything open *unless* eclipse was to rely on people doing this
unnaturally in order to get reasonable performance? - which clearly it
shouldn't.  However keeping everything you have ever done open probably
isn't reasonable either...?

Do you have any other examples from Eclipse in mind where we might be able
to improve on the current situation?
