Allen, there is no requirement to close projects. Just like having many
Word documents open, having many projects will increase footprint and may,
in some cases, affect performance. You are free to have as many open as you
wish. I don't think this is a case of designing an interface around a
particular use model. You could just as well open different workbench
windows on each of the projects in which you are interested. This would
also reduce clutter in the navigator (but give you more windows).
Summary: You are right, everyone works differently. While we can't
possibily accomodate every different style, IMHO, the Platform does a
reasonable job out of the box and is very open to extension.
