[news.eclipse.tools.php] Customizing toolbar
|
Hi,
I'm new to Eclipse... I was wondering if there were any plugins or hidden
features that would let me add my own items to the toolbar (textual icons
would be fine). I'd most like to use it as a GUI alternative to using the
templates via ctrl-space. I think this would be handy to allow one to paste
in code (e.g., for HTML forms).
If this feature doesn't exist, I'd like to make the suggestion. It would be
especially nice if extra related toolbars could become contextually
available (e.g., if clicking on "forms", the options to insert "checkbox",
"radio", etc. would show up, perhaps with Dreamweaver-like textboxes to
optionally fill in some of the possible attribute values) and if these could
be fully editable (e.g,. to add in additional frequently used code--e.g.,
Smarty templates). I'd also love to see Smarty templating be added to the
syntax-coloring as well.
I especially appreciate your work in making this great open source IDE
available for PHP.
thank you,
Brett
