Try forcing eclipse to run with JDK 1.5 or later:
./eclipe -vm /path/to/java15/ ...

I'm trying to install PDT 1.1 on a new installation of the Eclipse 3.4
J2EE package. I'm following the instructions here, under "From Update
Site":
http://wiki.eclipse.org/PDT/Installation#Eclipse_3.4_.2F_Ganymede_.2F_PDT
_1.1
I downloaded build I20080616, added it as a local update site, and
installed it. The first few times I tried to install, I got an error
about "No repository found containing org.eclipse.dltk.core". I figured
that was due to the load on the update servers.
Today when I installed, it seemed to work, and "PDT Feature" shows up
under Installed Software. However, I don't see any other PHP features.
There's no preferences page, and no PHP perspective. I don't see any
messages about PDT in the .log file.
Any ideas?
