In a response to Runar Olsen,
"Is there any plans for adding support for the new language features
introduced in PHP 5.3.0 any time soon? I'm currently working on a project of
mine where I have started to take advantage of the newly addition to the scope
operator which allows you to use a variable as the class name just like you
can when creating a new class. Today this results in a parse error in PDT."
http://www.eclipse.org/pdt/plans/php_plan_1_1.php marks milestone #2 for
PHP 5.3 features. support. But it is obviously not relevant since PHP 5.3
is delayed and there are features that are not code freeze yet.
Meantime, we should think about a list of wanted PHP 5.3 IDE features,
since there are a few syntax and semantic innovations in this release
(like namespaces, lsb, etc.).
Of course syntax coloring is the first step.
Any ideas?
