[news.eclipse.tools.pdt] Re: IS 1.1 M1 released?

A number of points of confusion here:

http://www.eclipse.org/pdt/ says 1.1M1 is due May 6. It's May 7, and the last build in the 1.1 branch (other than unstable nightlies) was I20080407, a month ago.

Meanwhile, you've released what you're calling 1.0.3M1, but the download page calls it RC1. Granted, a Stable is a Stable is a Stable, whether it's a Milestone or a Release Candidate, but please be consistent!

Could you please update your schedule (http://www.eclipse.org/pdt/) to include some revised date(s) for 1.1? September is a long way away for nothing but Nightlies. Surely you want to encourage early adopters to test your bits and report bugs? If so, we'll need more than one I build a month... :)

TIA,

Nick

Let's put some order here :)

Currently we are working toward PDT 1.0.3 release which addresses memory leak problems and a few performance improvements, all this staff is happening in a dedicated branch we maintain for 1.0.x releases. In parallel we are working for improving PDT's infrastructure (in PDT 1.1) and adding key features which are going to be released (for GA) in mid August.

Few days ago we released 1.0.3 M1, available here:
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/pdt/downloads/release.php?release=S20080505-RC1

Also we are trying to constantly release integration builds for PDT 1.1. so stay tuned...

Hope this helps,
Roy
