[news.eclipse.tools.pdt] mysql function highlighting?

Hello group! New to eclipse and this group, not new to php/mysql coding. 
I've got eclipse 3.3.1.1 up on a redhat box, and am just curious how I can 
enable/setup syntax highlighting for mysql functions? Seems like any mysql 
function I use gets no syntax highlighting/auto-completion, etc. Am I 
missing something fundamental?
