Eric,

Thanks for your help but I've somehow fixed this problem.  I am now
able to step into JDK source code.

All I did was to uninstall JDK 1.5.0.20 and then re-install it in
exactly the same way and place.  I changed no configuration parameters
in Galileo and now it works.  I don't know what changed.  But now
I can easily step into JDK source code.
