Interesting... I brought up an edit session of a .class file, and
it appears to me that the method order is preserved... perhaps there is hope
for this (although I don't know where JDT obtains the method signatures
from either).

How does one get involved in helping to make changes to Eclipse or
Eclipse tools?  Is there a link to a document that you could provide
that outlines instructions?
