[news.eclipse.tools.jdt] Re: content assist menu width GTK

But this is not possible on Linux (GTK) - see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=23980 and the bugs which are blocked by this one.

Chris,

The behavior I see with 3.3 on Windows is that it's always the same size, but if I resize it, it remembers the new size and uses that...

I use the eclipse jdt GTK2 version under a suse linux system.
When I look to the windows eclipse installations of my colleagues, the width of the content assist menu changes with the width of the visualized content.

In my eclipse, the menu is fixed-width. Thus, I need to scroll with the mouse when I want to see the method parameters that are hidden, which is very weird when I have several methods with different parameters.

Is there any possibility to change the width of the menu? To make it simply bigger or variable size?

Thanks in advance!
