Rahul,

Probably I should let the JDT folks answer this, but I would assume 
their parser is based on the Java Language Specification just as is 
javac itself.  I don't think there are any other standards that relate 
directly to this.  Also, I don't think JDT's intermediate AST 
representation is based on any particular standard nor do I think there 
is one for that...
