Which subclipse/eclipse version did you test? I have a number of
developers working on a very large project (6000+ files) using Eclipse
3.1M6 and the latest available Subclipse and have encountered nothing even
close to this (nor have there been any reports of such on the subclipse
bugtracker). The plugin is excellent and the few issues encountered thus
far either have had workarounds provided by the author or are already
fixed in the trunk for the next release...
The need for an "official" eclipse svn plugin is fairly well negated by
the existance of subclipse.
