[news.eclipse.tools.hyades] Re: Can I profile a PocketPC app?

You would need to port the agent controller to this platform. Then you could run it on the device and attach the profiler from an eclipse workbench on your workstation. As far as effort required, I'll have to let the agent controller folks comment on this, but I suspect it is non-trivial.

Thanks,
Curt

If I wanted to pursue enabling this capability, where would I need to start and how much effort do you expect is involved?

Hi David,

I don't believe there is, unfortunately. However, you can profile the application running in a PocketPC simulator running on your PC, if you have one.

Thanks,
Curt

I've got Hyades running on my PC and am able to profile successfully. However, my real target is to profile an application running on a PocketPC. Assuming the JVM there supports JVMPI, is there a way to do this? Thanks.
