|
Hyades Project Team Meeting (Conference call)
16th June 2003
Attendees: Ina Schieferdecker - FOKUS
Harm Sluiman ? IBM
Serge Lucio ? Rational
Melanie Woods ? Scapa Technologies
Upcoming Releases
Schedule
- The Hyades 1.0.0 driver, due for general availability at the end of June
will contain complete trace, profiling and logging.
- JUNIT will be in place, however, the sample test tools for HTTP and
manual will be ready a couple of weeks after the release.
- The translation of the documentation is scheduled to take place early
July
- A process for submitting requests for future evolutions of Hyades (1.x)
needs to be established, possibly via Bugzilla. The process will be
public, and will have to establish realistic plans for the next release in
September.
Administrative issues
OMG Interface
- The UML testing profile has now been adopted by the OMG, and the
Finalization TaskForce created. The taskforce is made up of the
individuals who developed the profile with a couple of additions
- From the OMG?s standpoint, the work within Hyades will help the testing
profile, as one of the areas that is not yet complete is the standalone
meta model. An improved model schema for XMI and 2 independent
implementations are required to take place during this process.
- Finalization process will take up to one year, no longer.
- ACTION ? Hyades team to provide feedback and comments by late July
Face to Face meetings
- The possibility of holding a face to face meeting was raised again. The
team has been busy working towards the June 27th release, but it was
agreed that a meeting could help with discussions regarding requirements
for future releases.
- Some requirements points raised:
1. interface definitions for WSDL and IDL and other non-Java based
technologies should be looked into.
2. an example test tool ? available in 1.0.
3. alignment with testing profile ? this seems to be on track.

White Papers
- Mike sent out a draft of the new Hyades white paper to the team last
week, requesting feedback.
