[news.eclipse.tools.hyades] Re: more help getting started...

Hi Mark, thanks for your interest. You seem to have found the main plumbing we have working in the
trace and test area of the project. A lot will come together in the next couple of weeks.

You have discovered the basic launch and monitor engine that we need for everything else. We have
just about finished the models that will store the trace data, and the test definition model. The
views are over instances of these models, so they view will be much more useful shortly after the
models are frozen for 1.0. The files you are seeing are the persistent form of the models and thus
are pretty light on content in the current driver. We have the profiling data collector in place,
but we are not yet loading the models because they were not finished.

In the case of test, the model will contain the definitions, and there will be a facade for
manipulating it.There will be a UI for editing the test definitions and for monitoring the
executions. The mechanisms you have tried will be used to launch and monitor test cases. We expect
to have support for JUnit stubs, manual test cases and http/url blasting.

Regarding the latest driver, yes you can overlay the driver. We are still in the phase of putting
all our pieces together. Unfortunately all this is coming together at the same time which is awkward
for anyone watching it. We are targeting to have 1.0 in place for the end of May. We will also be
including documentation shortly which will help a lot. We are in the reviews now.
