Development Team Reports
Overall
-	Not much traffic in the newsgroups, it is hoped that developerWorks Live
event and the press release will create some noise and activity in the
newsgroups, and encourage people to download

Hyades

Administrative issues
Project Membership
-	Mike Silverstein from SilverMark is keen to become more involved, and
Kent Siefkes has recommended that Mike?s contact details are added to
Hyades-team. Mike will then be invited to join the calls.
-	A point was raised regarding participation in Hyades by member
companies. Currently IBM and Rational, Scapa Technologies, SAP and FOKUS
are attending and contributing to team meetings.
-	Clarification is needed on proposed contribution from Telelogic and
Parasoft.
-	It was suggested that a time limit should be established for
participation and contribution by member companies.
-	ACTION ? Mike to call Telelogic and Parasoft to discuss their commitment
to the project within a couple of weeks time, and report back to the team.
-	Project needs to be divided into pieces that will help smaller members
to get involved more easily
-	Hyades presentation to next Eclipse Board meeting should clarify which
company is contributing which piece(s) of the project.
Electronic Access Issues
-	Ina from FOKUS has indicated that some of her group have had some
difficulties with Webex sessions, that the screen takes a long time to
update
-	ACTION ? Joe to look into these latency issues further with George from
FOKUS and Webex
-	Important to try to facilitate entrance to project for new members, as
the structure can seem daunting
Face-to-Face Meeting
-	Discussed possibility of holding another face-to-face developer meeting.
The feeling is that it is probably not the right moment to hold a meeting.
-	Team agreed that these meetings should be held on a six-monthly basis.
Marcomms
PR
-	PR is scheduled, and will be distributed by IBM PR to the trade or
business publications, while Eclipse PR will concentrate on the technical
publications. Both groups will attempt to schedule interviews for Mike.
-	Mike spoke to journalist from SD Times (Dave Rubenstein) at short notice
last week, regarding UML2. Article due in SD Times on April 15th.
Events
-	Hyades will receive some exposure at DeveloperWorks Live (IBM sponsored
event). In particular, a workshop, run by Eric Labadie, will pitch Hyades.
AOB
-	ACTION - Melanie will distribute meeting minutes directly to hyades-team
for approval before these are made available to hyades-dev.
