[news.eclipse.tools.hyades] Re: ASQ scope
|
Hi Roelof, Matt
The point about ASQ is well made, we are currently only looking at test,
trace and statistics. The scope of the project is wide enough just now,
but the principles behind what we are doing could be extended. The core
is a UML model of something (i.e. tests, traces and statistical models),
based around an OMG standard, that gets implemented in concrete form in
EMF and then we build some plumbing to facilitate remote access to
construct and execute those models. By analogy you could get a UML model
defined which deals with requirements and other standard quality issues.
If possible get that standardized at the OMG. then get it implemented via
EMF in the Workbench. It'll doubtless share concepts with Hyades. Then
build tooling on top of that.
Maybe we'll go there in due course, but give us a chance to get something
out first!
